About Pamplona

PAMPLONA

Internationally known for its festival, the Sanfermines, Pamplona offers visitors an accessible city equipped with all the necessary services. The city offers the perfect setting, with spacious gardens and parks and wonderful corners to wander around.

Shopping in Pamplona is a unique experience, where you can also flavour a cup of coffee on a sidewalk terrace. But, without a doubt, one of the greatest pleasures is tasting a tradicional “pincho” with an excellent Navarre wine.

Pamplona’s 200.000 habitants enjoy a high standard of living as well as excellent health, social and cultural services.

The city displays a wide variety of cultural possibilities with an attractive array of events including concerts, opera, ballet, theatre and shows.

The human dimension, together with its monumental, cultural and scenic richness make the city a welcoming place that will pleasantly surprise the visitor.

GASTRONOMY

The magnificent produce from the market gardens of the Ribera region combine perfectly with superb Pyrenean meat dishes and fresh fish from the Cantabrian Sea. And all washed down by its acclaimed wines.

A true example of our restaurant culture in miniature are the delicious pinchos waiting for visitors in the bars of Pamplona.

A wine tasting session at any of the region’s wineries is the perfect incentive to savour these high quality wines and gain a greater insight into Navarran culture.

CLIMATE

Pamplona's climate reflects a transition from a Mediterranean to an Atlantic climate. It is temperate-cold, full of contrast and varies from year to year. In general, it is pleasant, although the thermometer can rise above 35 degrees centigrade in July and August, and fall beneath 0 in January.
